"Feeling Good Is a Practice" Workshop

Plant the seeds early.

50% of adult mental health challenges start before age 14. The best time to build these tools is before the challenges arrive. Sophia delivers an interactive 60-minute workshop that makes mental health something normal to talk about — not awkward, not scary. Just part of everyday life.

We break big ideas about the brain and feelings into fun, easy-to-understand activities that actually make sense to young people. Students leave feeling calmer, more confident, and more in control of their thoughts and emotions.

A student from Wenona School said:

"The bucket analogy was very useful, and when I showed my letter of gratitude to my grandparents, it made them and me so happy. This seminar definitely taught me something about how my brain works and how I can make myself a better person."

1
The Mental Health Bucket
Students explore how everyday challenges fill up their mental health bucket and learn simple daily actions to empty it — movement, talking to someone, gratitude, and rest.
2
Kindness
Students practise being kind to themselves through simple breathing exercises, to others through a compliment activity, and to the environment through mindful actions.
3
Gratitude
Students identify people, places, foods and everyday moments they're grateful for — building a more positive and balanced mindset through a live writing and sharing exercise.
4
Mindfulness
Through engaging sensory activities, students connect with what they can see, hear and feel — learning simple tools to stay calm and focused in any moment.
5
Ask for Help
Normalising reaching out. Students learn that asking for help is the strongest thing you can do — and practise the simple words to make it happen.

FAQs

Got questions?

A few things primary schools usually ask before booking a wellbeing workshop.

We recommend our primary school workshop for Years 5 & 6, helping students build self-awareness and resilience ahead of their big move to high school.
We're flexible! Our workshops can be sized to suit your needs, whether you're a school, corporate team, sporting club, or event — from a small group right through to a large-scale gathering. Our info pack includes a handy guide with options for up to 100 attendees, 100–200, and 200+.

Honestly? We'd love to work with your whole organisation, school, or team. If you're interested in booking multiple workshops, get in touch and we'll happily work out a package deal that suits you.
We'll send you a pre-workshop checklist before every booking so you're not caught off guard. Here's what we generally need:
  • A projector or TV with an HDMI connection
  • A pen
  • We arrive 30 minutes early to set up
Don't have everything on the list? No stress — just let us know and we'll do our best to work something out. We're very flexible and want the day to run smoothly for you.
We love hearing from parents! Fill out our quick enquiry form and select that you're a parent. We'll send you our info pack, which you can pass on directly to your child's school — word of mouth is one of the best ways to connect schools with the right people, and we're so grateful when parents champion us.
We recommend reaching out as early as you can, but don't worry if your preferred date is coming up — we'll always do our best to make it work! Our booking form includes a section where you can share a preferred date, a date range, a month, or even just a school term, and we'll get back to you with our availability.
Yes! Our primary school workshops integrate seamlessly with the Australian Curriculum (HPE) and Personal and Social Capability frameworks. We go beyond theory to give students explicit, age-appropriate instruction across three key areas:
  • Self-awareness & management — mastering emotional regulation and proactive wellbeing strategies
  • Social awareness — developing empathy and the skills to build respectful relationships
  • Mental health literacy — understanding emotional responses and practising real-world strategies to support long-term mental health
Yes — we travel anywhere in Australia! For one-off in-person sessions in regional or remote areas, we charge a small travel fee to cover costs. But if you book multiple sessions, the travel fee is waived entirely. Get in touch and we'll work out the details for your location.
Life happens — we totally understand. You're welcome to reschedule up to two weeks before your session at no cost. If you need to cancel within two weeks of your booking date, a 50% cancellation fee applies. We'll always do our best to work with you if something unexpected comes up.

Build strong foundations early.

The best time to learn about mental health is before the challenges arrive. Let's bring this to your school.
